GPA mesh should be grounded in most applications. This Hole Band is easy to work with because it’s quite flexible and easy to cut.
According to the applicable EU regulations, all surfaces must be grounded by a qualified electrician. Insurance companies also demand this.
The grounding strap must be in contact with every layer of GPA shielding mesh at least once. This applies to wall surfaces as well as ceiling or floor surfaces. The grounding strap (or earthing strap) is then connected to ground on the home electrical system or a dedicated grounding stake.
