Description
T98 is an electrically conductive grounded protection for the deflection and absorption of RF radiation and electric fields.
When applying the recommended 2-coats, the shielding effectiveness against high (radio) frequency (RF) radiation reaches a staggering 53 and 54 dB at 4G and 5G tower-to-phone frequencies!. This means a RF shielding effectiveness of 99,9996%. When tested against typical 5G tower-to-phone frequencies with a 3 coat application, scores went to 60dB (99,9999%) at 3.4-3.8Ghz and 66dB at 5.8Ghz (99.999975% !!).
Shielding effectiveness is not actually the only goal post. T98 was uniquely designed, not just for shielding, but especially the long-term and holistic outcomes of our clinic’s patients who were the benchmark for T98’s development. After all… if health is the end goal… are all ingredients allowable? – This paint has an acrylic base (water based). It is air permeable, solvent-free and has extremely low emissions. It can be applied very well on a dry, clean, non-greasy surface by means of a threaded roller (rough surface roller).
After the paint has dried, all surfaces must be grounded. To do this, grounding tape is used which can then be connected to the ground of the home electrical system by a qualified electrician. A connection can also be made with the metal heating pipe or a dedicated grounding rod into the soil. After drying for 24 hours, T98 can be over painted by other paints.
Coverage for T98 Shielding Paint
5 Litres of shielding paint is enough to cover approx. 40 m2 and can be enough for the shielding of a small to average bedroom with one coat of shielding paint. In general, the application of 2 coats is recommended for higher performance and future proofing against the increase of RF radiation. In case of surfaces with a high absorption, the prior application of primer or under coat has been advantageous to reduce unnecessary loss of the shielding paint by suction of the materials being painted.
Ingredients of T98 Shielding Paint
Water, graphite, carbon black, acrylic dispersion, additives, MIT / BIT preservation.
VOC-content: This product (Cat. A / a) contains just 0.18 g/litre of VOC (see independent test report on T98 shielding paint VOC). The limits set by the EU were 75 g/litre and from 2010 was set to 30 g/litre. In Australia the maximum VOC limit for internal paints is set between 50 and 70 g/litre depending on the type of paint. Very low VOC paint is classified as anything under 5 g/litre.
Grounding tape is a necessity!
Grounding shielding paint helps with the reduction of electric field exposure which is a great benefit. It is however also a safety feature and may be an insurance requirement. Grounding with grounding tape is therefor a bonus and a necessity.
